South African veteran actor Sello Maake kaNcubeâs estranged wife Pearl Mbewe has taken to her official social media platforms and penned an apology
âI genuinely apologise to my family, my children, true friends and all those I may have disappointed! We all fall and tumble along the way. The truth shall set all of us free!â she wrote on Facebook.
Her apology post comes after the Sunday World newspaper published an article about the actorâs alleged HIV status. The article stated that Maake kaNcubeâs estranged wife had opened up about him allegedly exposing her to HIV.
In response to the allegations, Ncube released a statement through his lawyers, announcing that he would be suing for defamation.
âI am aware of the defamatory statements made about me and I am proceeding with legal action in this regard. This is to protect the African family unit,â he said in a statement.
The once-in-love couple's marriage later this year crumbled after several previous reports that their union was in trouble. In November reports surfaced that the actor had served his wife, Mbewe, with a protection order.
Maake kaNcube is said to not only have served his estranged wife with a protection order but also served âGenerationsâ actress Letoya Makheneâs ex-wife Lebo Keswa with a protection order.
Keswa and Mbewe have become close friends and business associates and it seems they are having December fun together. This past weekend Mbewe posted Keswa on Instagram and in her caption she said: âMy woman! đ„°â€ïžđ„°â raising eyebrows.
