South African rapper and cultural icon, Cassper Nyovest, has taken to social media to address recent allegations suggesting that his career is in decline.

The artist, who has long remained a prominent figure in the music scene, is unfazed by comments about Nyovest "falling off" across social media platforms.

Shutting out the noise, he took to X to announced the impending release of his new single, "Kusho Bani", set for launch on February 7.

He wrote: “I promise to drop music regularly again. My confidence was low but now it’s at an all-time high!!! Starting with Kusho Bani Feb 7th. Get your memes and your threads ready and try to stop this train!! I’m back!!!”

However, Nyovest's declaration has not been met with universal support. Some critics took to the platform to voice their views, with one user asserting, “You went from making bangers to making background noise, bro.”

Others echoed sentiments of doubt and confusion regarding his position in the industry.

Yet amongst the criticism, many loyal fans stepped forward, expressing their eagerness for his comeback with comments like, “The game needs you dawg ... it ain't the same without you.”

In a spirited response to the naysayers, Nyovest issued an unwavering affirmation of his relevance.

“I’ve been reading about Cassper Nyovest falling off for the past 11 years. Kante, how high was he?

“Why didn’t he quit 11 years ago when they said they were giving him 6 months and he would be gone? haha yoh!! Such resilience!!! Nna I would give up shem! KUSHO BANI?”

The rapper has previously addressed his peak status, acknowledging the inevitability of not always being considered the "coolest" artist but maintaining a desire to remain influential and financially stable.

“I understand not being the coolest or the hottest, that’s inevitable, but falling off as far as influence, reach, money and people not taking your calls cause you’re a burden. May I never see that day oh Lord,” he shared at the time.

Nyovest’s rise to fame began with the release of his acclaimed debut album "Tsholofelo". Beyond music, Nyovest has expanded his brand into entrepreneurship; notable ventures include launching his liquor brand, Billiato, and sneaker line, in collaboration with Drip Footwear, called The Root of Fame.

Additionally, the rapper has made significant inroads into television and is famous for his ambitious #FillUp concerts.

As Nyovest prepares to release "Kusho Bani" and embarks on this renewed chapter in his career, it is clear that he remains committed to his artistry and to silencing any narratives suggesting otherwise.
