"Bodies of Water"

Flatfoot Dance Company’s premiere of "Bodies of Water" is a daring and deeply beautiful navigation of both the human condition and the ecology of our planet.

Award-winning choreographer Lliane Loots joins forces with Durban musicians Refiloe Olifant on violin and Mandla Matsha on percussion on this new season of contemporary dance.Dancers, Sifiso Khumalo, Jabu Siphika, Zinhle Nzama, Siseko Duba, Sbonga Ndlovu and Ndumiso Dube face off with their own flow and sometimes immovability.

It is performed to an original and live score which has been jointly created with Olifant and Matsha.

Where: Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, UKZN.

When: Thursday, April 10, to Sunday, April 13.

"One Act Play Extravaganza"

Among the acts of the “One Act Play Extravaganza" is Maya Olsen's comedies, "Morning After Madness" and "Awkward Brunch".

Additionally, Julian Correa will present his play, "Flip of a Coin"."Flip of a Coin", "11:59" and "George’s Miss(ed) Fortune" will be staged on April 11 and 13.

On Saturday, April 12, "The Final Dress Rehearsal", "Awkward Brunch" and "Morning After Madness" will take place.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks.

"Shrek the Musical"

The vibrant tale of love, adventure and swamp life is set to unfold as the Young Performers Project (YPP) gears up to stage the much-loved "Shrek the Musical".

Lyle Buxton, who played the lead role a decade ago, will return to reprise his performance as the beloved green ogre, bringing a wealth of experience to the production.

Boasting a cast of 35 talented performers, the show will feature a mix of primary and high school learners, as well as post-matric students from the International School of Performing Arts (I.S.P.A.).

Among the cast are James Armstrong as Donkey, Chloe Marot as Fiona and Damien Butt as Lord Farquaad.The production team is led by director and set designer Lisa Bobbert, with choreography by Evashnee Pillay and music direction by Des Govender.
