Award-winning actress and media personality Linda Mtoba is set to host her much-anticipated annual event, Mama Play Date, this November 2024. This fun-filled day is designed to give mothers the perfect opportunity to let their hair down while spending quality time with their children.

A mother herself, the “Queendom” actress understands the importance of balancing parenthood and self-care, and the event is a way to celebrate that.

“If there’s one thing that time and science have proven, it’s the positive effect play has on all of us, both as adults and as families.

“Mama Play Date is about letting your inner child come out to play with your child. It’s mamas and dadas at play, bonding in a way that strengthens family ties.”

Mtoba shared news of the event with her two million Instagram followers with a highlight video. Some of her followers are asking for the event to come to their cities, Cape Town and Durban.

The first Mama Play Date was held in 2022 and since then it has been growing, moving to a bigger venue this year. The idea came from the mother of one’s journey with her daughter.

Taking place at Pere House in Kyalami, Midrand, the event promises a family-friendly environment with an exciting array of games, activities, delicious food, and great music for both moms and their little ones.

Mtoba currently appears on Mzansi screens on BET Africa’s “Queendom” which returned to screens in September. She is also in the running for the Trendsetter Award at the DStv Content Creator Awards, taking place October 12.
