Johannesburg - Whether you are a dedicated motorcyclist, motor enthusiast or just looking for an exciting fun-filled day out for the whole family, the South Africa Bike Festival is the must-attend motoring event of the year at the newly refurbished Kyalami Grand Prix circuit.

Taking place over the weekend of May 27-29, the event will be three days of entertainment including live music, stunt shows, custom-bike competitions and all things motorcycling.

A popular feature is that ticket holders with a valid motorcycle or learners’ licence will be able to test ride motorcycles on the track, at a cost of between R50 and R160 depending on the bike.

Various latest machines will be available to test ride on the new circuit, from cruisers to cutting-edge sports bikes and more. Please ensure you have purchased a festival ticket prior to booking your test rides via the website at www.southafricabikefestival.com.

Riders of all skill levels, including beginners, can also sign up for lessons from the Michelin Superbike School.

Another great addition is the first ever Pride of Ownership Classic Motorcycle Viewing Deck.

All those with machines dated 1990 and older can nominate their classic bike to be one of 30 exclusively selected for the special display on the new deck in the Kyalami pit building.

The Kyalami pit roof terrace will cater to female showgoers with a Ladies Indulgence area featuring nail art, mini manicures and cocktails.

There is also another beginner-rider opportunity to experience riding in a safe and controlled environment with a Scooters & Commuters area where anyone over the age of 16 can try out a Honda, Suzuki or Sym scooter with the highly-experienced team from SpeedQueen Racing Academy.

Musical acts will include Kahn Morbee from the Parlotones, Gangs of Ballet, Majozi and many more. Tickets for The South Africa Bike Festival, powered by Discovery Channel, are available from the www.southafricabikefestival.com website and are priced at R190 per person for general entry, R600 for a family (two adults and two teens), and R950 a person for the VIP Pit Roof Village which gives visitors a 360-degree view of the festival along with a buffet lunch and drinks. Children under 12 enter the festival for free.
