Ikeda, Japan - Both loved and hated for its inherent 'cuteness', the original Daihatsu Copen was a sure head-turner and conversation starter.
Now the Copen returns in second generation guise sporting a somewhat more aggressive look, although it's not about enter the macho club anytime soon as its dimensions are still absolutely diminutive - this in the interests of retaining its status as a Japanese 'K-car'.
As before, the miniature roadster sports a folding hardtop that’s available in a choice of colours.
Beneath the bonnet, a turbocharged 660cc three-cylinder engine, rated at 47kW and 92Nm, delivers its 'urge' to the front wheels through a five-speed manual or seven-speed CVT transmission.
