Whitley, West Midlands - Jaguar has updated its top-selling model, the F-Pace SUV, with a raft of updated safety and convenience features for 2019 - and they’ll be available in South Africa from late September or early October this year.
A 25cm Touchpro infotainment touchscreen is now standard across the range, as are a new frameless rear-view mirror, bright metal pedals, synthetic suede headlining, carbon-fibre door finishes and new metal sill plates with backlit Jaguar script.
And available as options are new slimline sports seats with 14-way adjustment, including adjustable bolsters, and slimmer seatbacks,

The updated adaptive cruise control has been combined with the existing lane centring function to steer the car within its lane, while maintaining a set distance from the vehicle in front at up to 180km/h, and with the radar-based high-speed emergency braking to detect an imminent collision, warn you - and hit the brakes of you ignore it.
A new stop-and-go feature will gently brake the F-pace to a halt if the car ahead of you stops in heavy traffic; when it pulls away again, just tap the accelerator and adaptive cruise control is reinstated.
Finally, all the petrol derivatives get a bigger larger fuel tank - 82 litres versus the previous 63.
New Flagship
And, of course, all these updates also apply to the new 404kW, five-litre SVR V8 flagship model, revealed at the New York Motor Show and joining the F-Pace line-up for the 2019 model year with special suspension, body kit and new lightweight 21 or 22 inch wheels over uprated brakes.
