The Polyphagous Shot Hole Borer (PSHB), a tiny beetle with a big appetite for destruction, is threatening the country's indigenous trees and forests. Originating from south-east Asia, this beetle has launched an ecological invasion, prompting Ezemvelo to issue a strict ban on bringing firewood into their reserves.
