COMMISSION TO DECIDE ON POSTPONEMENT

The nation expects the Marikana Commission of Inquiry to do a proper investigation, chairman Ian Farlam said in response to a request for an adjournment on Wednesday.

He was responding to lawyers representing parties involved in the inquiry.

"We will adjourn for parties to agree on when we should we resume," he said.

The commission adjourned for the parties to decide on the date.

Before the adjourment three files containing post mortem reports were handed in.

The post mortem reports were of those people killed prior to the August 16 shootings of mineworkers, and those killed on August 16.
