The Public Servants Association of South Africa (PSA) is sounding the alarm regarding the lack of adequate progress made by the Department of Basic Education (DBE) in its commitment to eliminate pit toilets in schools by the approaching March 31, 2025, deadline. Representing over 245,000 public-sector employees, the PSA acknowledges the strides made but warns that the remaining challenges are formidable.
