“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” is back, baby!
Season 5 is dropping on September 18 and if you thought the previous seasons served up drama hotter than a Utah bonfire, then buckle up because it’s about to get wilder in those snowy mountains.
For those of us who’ve been watching, you know it’s been one hell of a ride. Last season gave us everything — receipts, scandals, and some seriously icy feuds.
Remember when Heather Gay exposed Monica Garcia as an internet troll during that fiery cast trip to Bermuda?
Garcia had been tormenting the ladies online before joining the show. It was drama gold!
Screenshots, timelines, proof - it was all on display, turning season 4’s finale into an explosive event.
But here’s the tea for season 5: Monica Garcia is out and the OGs are all back. Yes, that means Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay, Angie Katsanevas, Meredith Marks and Whitney Rose are returning to serve more looks and drama.
And guess who's also back in action? Mary Cosby.
After ditching the season 2 reunion and coming back as a “friend” in season 4 (while barely engaging with group activities), she is returning as a full-time cast member. Clearly, the chaos isn’t complete without her eccentric flair.
Joining the housewives line-up is Bronwyn Newport, who's about to shake things up with her over-the-top fashion and sharp-as-a-diamond sense of humour. She’s tight with Lisa Barlow and is ready to make her mark in style.
Then there’s Meili Workman, a model and mother of four, who left the LDS faith and moved to Utah for a deeper connection but decided it wasn’t for her. Talk about a journey!
Lastly, we’ve got Britani Bateman, a real estate developer and singer with a rocky love life. Introduced by her friend Gay, she’s already rubbing up some of the women the wrong way.
“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” has never been short on drama and the past seasons have served up plenty. Jen Shah was one of the show’s most iconic characters, known for her fiery outbursts and turbulent relationships with the other women.
But the real bombshell came when Shah was arrested in season 2 for her role in a nationwide telemarketing scheme, which led to her pleading guilty and being sentenced to prison.
Her legal drama overshadowed much of the show, creating intense friction among the ladies as they tried to reconcile Jen’s public persona with her criminal activities.
Shah's downfall wasn’t the only tea worth sipping. Cosby stirred the pot with her controversial marriage to her step-grandfather and erratic behaviour, especially when she ditched the season 2 reunion.
Meanwhile, Gay and Rose's cousinly bond was tested by fractured friendships, particularly when Gay led the charge to expose Monica Garcia as an internet troll in season 4.
Now, with season 5 on the horizon, the snow-covered chaos in Salt Lake City is about to escalate.
