Renowned rapper, Cassper Nyovest, has come in defence as SA citizens dragged him on social media after Thobeka Majozi, the mother of his child and former girlfriend, detailed how he allegedly cheated while their son battled cancer.

Majozi accused Nyovest, real name Refiloe Phoolo, of having an outside relationship with his current wife, Pulane Mojaki.

Nyovest and Mojaki, who are childhood friends, tied the knot in April this year.

Majozi's lengthy Instagram post celebrated her son’s healing, having spent two years in an oncology hospital; and reflected on her healing journey following Nyovest’s alleged extramarital affairs.

At the time of the post, she was celebrating her birthday.

“Who would have thought I’d be here? Not in pieces but in peace. The tears that were once in silence are now from laughing out loud.

“I lived in an oncology hospital for two years with my son as he underwent chemotherapy and life-threatening surgeries. In the depths of fighting cancer. I was hit with a curve ball of infidelity.

“The woman knew me, my son’s condition, and made no mistake with flaunting their relationship,” said Majozi.

Majozi’s post sparked controversy, with a faction dragging the rapper, while the other empathised with her.

In his defence on an Instagram reply, Nyovest said: “I’m not scared of people or my past. I had to face it myself before anyone. What do you want me to do? Hide? Point fingers? Tell my side of the story? Expose other people? Shift the blame? Nah ma’am (sic). I’m here, say it all. Go off! Take your best shot. Y’all (sic) are perfect? Well, I'm not, never claimed to be. I’m a mess, a ratchet wicked man who was saved and cleansed by the blood of Jesus.”

He further acknowledged that he may have cheated on Majozi during the course of his son’s illness, Khotso Phoolo.

“I agree. It’s amazing how selfish one can be sometimes. I was a very vile human being,” said Nyovest.

Shortly after Majozi’s post, comments on social media came hoarding, condemning Nyovest’s actions.

“Men are scum. Cassper cheated on Thobeka, while their son was fighting cancer and still married the girl he was cheating with. I wish him a life without peace,” said @Raw_Allure.

“Cassper Nyovest is sh*ting on us if we are being honest. Your kid is diagnosed with cancer, and staying in a hospital, but you are out there chasing hoes? Yuck,” said @hlovo.

“Cassper did Thobeka dirty, he sure capitalised on her silence. What a wicked thing to do. Him and Pulane deserve each other,” said @MasekoValenciaN

“Even the filthiest of people have found their morality within this Cassper Nyovest situation. You know how messed up that is?” said @bysosa_

Some dragged the rapper for his newfound Christian faith.

Nyovest admitted earlier in the year that he was a sex addict and was “saved” by God on Mpoomy Ledwaba’s podcast, “Wisdom & Wellness”.

“He turned to God because he knows what he did to Thobeka is evil. Bathong Cassper!” said @khanyimokhali.

“Cassper Nyovest is a fraud! The part that gets to me is when he hides behind Jesus and humility,” said @Huma_Ofentse.

“There’s a place for men like Cassper here in the world, not hell. Guilt is chowing him everyday, that is why he is always screaming poor Jesus’ name unnecessarily. He has no peace inside and he will never know peace,” said @DolfineDD.
