Gale-force winds of change are blowing! October 27 is the day of reckoning.

If people are determined, and more importantly united, nothing can stand in their way, even amid the deadly coronavirus.

It’s been 27 years of wasteful, painful regression. All our aspirations, expectations and hopes raised in 1994 have been shattered.

This is undoubtedly the lived experience that transcends colour, race, sex, age or creed. Service delivery is abominable. The governing party must be voted out.

All of us need to sober up, set our differences aside and face the evil serpent rearing its ugly head.

For centuries of white-led regimes, blacks suffered. Despite the atrocities committed over years, many blacks voted whole-heartedly for a white-led party, the DA, during the previous elections. They did a lot of spade work and toenadering, but with little or no avail. It can’t be a one-sided affair.

For meaningful reconciliation to succeed, all parties should be willing to give and take. Now is the turn of our white fellow countrymen and women to vote for black-led parties.

There are many promising black-led parties with great potential that can lead to stability and prosperity.

The essential ingredients are to trust, sincerely vote them into power and actively participate in their affairs without setting them up to fail.

God didn’t create blacks only to be instructed, be servile and follow others. It’s now or never.
