New York is a great destination, but let’s face it-things can get pretty expensive. Fortunately for travellers, there are amazing activities that you can do for free. Here is our list:

The Bronx Museum of the Arts

Art is big in New York and there are many galleries and museums to cater for those needs. The Bronx Museum of the Arts is just one of them. The museum specialises in contemporary art from diverse cultural backgrounds. Go and see the Bronx Calling exhibit. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Take a tour with Big Apple Greeter

Big Apple Greeter was founded in 1992 by Lynn Brooks. She founded this organisation to help visitors ease into the city and see what the Big Apple has to offer. New York Botanical Garden

If you love to enjoy nature, then the New York Botanical Garden is the place for you. Featuring more than a million plants on 250 acres, the Botanical Garden is a place for study and research as well as enchantment and exploration, says NYC The Official Guide on its website. People can walk around the gardens  and learn more about the plants. The Bronx Zoo is nearby, however additional fees apply.

To sign up for tickets, go to showclix.com. Make sure you request in advance. According to NYC The Official Guide, tapings are at Mondays through Thursdays at 6pm and last until around 7:15pm.
