While the stars are holidaying in glorious places like the Reunion Islands, we mere mortals are paying careful attention on how to achieve the look. Whether you're gearing up for a three or four hour long flight or an afternoon on the beach, if you aren't dressed for the occasion that can make the experience really unpleasant. Fashion and beauty writer Thobile Mazibuko shares with us why these looks work.
Here are some looks that caught our attention this week:
1. The Travel Looks:
The Tracksuit look: Often times traveling requires large amounts of restricted movements and many more hours of sitting in the same position. Here, Kefilwe's tracksuit look at the airport earlier this week caught our attention.

Here Thobile says:
Being comfortable whether you are flying or driving is important. Kefilwe's look is perfect because while it's stylish its also very practical. She's dressed in tracksuits and sneakers, which is flexible clothes that are perfect for those long flights.
The ripped jeans: Blogger and influencer Aisha Baker also shared her airport look a couple of days ago. She is pictured in ripped jeans, character t-shirt and light jacket. Her feet clad in sneakers.

Here Thobile says: The important thing to remember when traveling for long distances is to never dress too formally. Just presentable and chic. Aisha's look is perfect because her ripped jeans are comfortable, not too tight. The jacket is perfect because should the weather change unexpectedly, she'll be able to keep warm. Sneakers are definitely the way to go.
2. The beach looks
The beach looks that gave us several ideas for the upcoming summer season are those of Tumi Voster and Kefilwe again. The two are shared snaps of themselves enjoying sandy white beaches and looking like they stepped off of a magazine shoot while they're at it.
The shirt-dress cover up: Tumi shared a snap of herself in a blue swimming costume, with a white shirt-dress and some flops to complete the look.

Here Thobile says: Tumi's look is what I would describe as simple and to the point. I love that she finished off the look with flops because while they're convenient, they're also great to protect your feet should you feel not so comfortable with walking barefoot. Tip: If you are not covering up with a light shawl or sarong on the beach, you're doing a light cotton shirt-dress.
The light shawl: Kefilwe embraced the beauty of the islands by throwing on a bright coloured printed shawl.

Here Thobile says: Bright colours go well with beach. You can see in the image that her shawl is made of a light material. Also whats great about these leading ladies is that they let their hair down and loose. When you're at the beach you're thinking relaxed, free. You want to feel the sea breeze and the sunshine.
