Beaches are not just a great location to lie on and get a suntan, it’s also a great location for photos whether they are planned (like photo shoots) or spontaneous.

There are beaches around the world that are simply magnificent to the human eye and are extremely photogenic.

Each beach holds a distinctive feature about them which is seen to the naked eye and attracts the photographer to catch that distinctive feature. Sometimes the beach makes for the perfect photo without needing the presence of a human posing on the sand.

Diamond Beach, Iceland

One of the few beaches around the world with black sand, the Diamond beach is a very photogenic beach with ice glaciers found on the black sand, creating an interesting contrast between colours.

The beach is a great spot for photos especially during the early hours when the sun rises.
