Rome - Forty horse sculptures were installed around Rome's most famous landmarks, including the Colosseum, on Wednesday night as part of an exhibition looking at man's migration through history.
Mexican artist Gustavo Aceves's installation called Lapidarium, Waiting For The Barbarians features cracked and incomplete horses, some up to 12 metres long, placed on columns or boats throughout the city.
The horses, made from wood, granite, marble or iron, were installed at the Brandenburg gate in Berlin last year and will also display in Paris and Mexico City after the Rome exhibition closes in January.
