Those heading to the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concert on Sunday, 26 January 2025, are surely in for a musical treat. This weekend, the Botanical Gardens will host the legendary Afro-pop duo Mafikizolo and the powerhouse rock vibes of Ross Learmonth, former frontman of the iconic Prime Circle.

Mafikizolo is a household name in South Africa’s music scene, with over 20 years of dropping unforgettable beats and hits like “Khona” and “Ndihamba Nawe” that have become anthems for generations, featuring their blend of Afrobeat, kwaito, and soulful grooves. Nhlanhla Mafu, lead vocalist of Mafikizolo, couldn’t contain her excitement about performing at Kirstenbosch.
